The Tombs of Alexandria

Set in A.D. 176, two boys embark on an adventurous journey from Karanis to Alexandria. Renny dreams of sailing, while Lampon aims to bring his father home from the temple of Serapis. After discovering a precious gem, Renny's life takes a turn, leading them to suspect that a thief catcher has been murdered. Their quest to capture a runaway slave, Hermon, plunges them into a dangerous chase through underground cisterns and tombs, culminating in a tense confrontation at the iconic Pharos lighthouse.
