The Diasporic Condition

Exploring the intricate relationship between migration and cultural identity, the author examines the diasporic Lebanese community as a unique lifeworld. Through extensive ethnographic research spanning multiple continents, he analyzes how Lebanese migrants navigate their new environments while maintaining ties to their homeland. Central to this study is the concept of the "lenticular condition," which illustrates how individuals inhabit multiple intersecting realities, challenging traditional boundaries of belonging and identity. This work ultimately redefines our understanding of cultural existence in a globalized world.
