Promised to Me

Set in the late 1800s, the story follows Karola Breit, who travels to Idaho to marry Jakob Hirsch, only to discover he has changed drastically and is now a father of three. Initially agreeing to care for his children until the harvest, she struggles with her feelings for Jakob and his family. As she bonds with the children, her heart begins to soften towards Jakob, challenging her resolve to leave.
