Ashlyn O'Monahan is plagued by nightmares as she struggles to remain firmly on the career path she chose. She's thwarted by those she works with, and for, and her boyfriend is no help, either. So she walks alone.Until a stranger appears. An unseen force connects them, but for what purpose, Ashlyn can't fathom. And whatever it is, she's certain she wants nothing to do with it. When the stranger dies before he's delivered his message, he leaves behind two parting gifts, a scarf and a twenty-year-old newspaper, like some sort of twisted treasure hunt. The puzzle draws Ashlyn into the mythology of fashion design superstar, Rory Mannix, but the quest threatens to undermine everything she's been working toward. Determined to take control of her life, she abandons the mystery, only to have the nightmares return, more powerful and urgent than before. There is nowhere she can hide from the omens of the stranger.
