Al and I had moved to Hawaii and our phone rang. My mother, Virginia Wayne told me of the passing of Roma and the phone call from her Pastor. She asked me to pick out a favorite letter to send to the church for the memorial. I picked the one about the accordion and wrote to Pastor Baker how the letters had meant so much to my mother and myself and when I read them, I get so much strength that I thought more people could benefit from these wonderfully creative, beautiful and inspiring letters. I can close my eyes and picture her writing them and painting her trailer and walking in the snow and ice to the mailbox. Please enjoy and receive the blessings that follow with the reading of these precious memories. I would like to thank my husband Alan for hours upon hours of listening, editing and supporting me in the creation of "Letters from Roma".
