Unflappable Santa Fe detective, Sam Williams, must track down the murderer of the City Different s most notorious trust fund baby - Farley Doyle III. Wealthy, tyrannical Doyle, known as 3D by friends and enemies alike, strides through the southwestern resort town as if he owns it. He intimidates and browbeats everyone he comes in contact with. The deeper Williams investigates, the more he realizes there s a seemingly endless array of suspects to choose from. Everyone has a compelling motive to want 3D dead. But just as Williams thinks he's closing in on a suspect, proof slips from his grasp.
