It follows their story until last year when the author met the rescued girl, now 85. Lo and behold, she still had the towel with which she was rescued. Elizabeth has 5 children and 5 grandchildren, none of whom would have been born if she had been swept out to sea. When Lotti saved Elizabeth, she saved Elizabeth's whole family.
