Ben Shephard fue un historiador, autor y productor de televisión inglés. Se educó en el Diocesan College de Ciudad del Cabo y en la Westminster School, y se licenció en historia por la Universidad de Oxford. Produjo numerosos documentales históricos para la BBC y Channel 4, entre ellos "The World at War" y "The Nuclear Age".
