The work presents a taxonomic reclassification of the genus Marginella, detailing the establishment of new subgenera within the family Marginellidae. It includes an extensive examination of the Marginella (Praeparvamarginella) complex and the Marginella (Fasciamarginella) complex, alongside the description of two new Marginella species. The author introduces several new taxa, including subgenera such as Afriamarginella, Albamarginella, Capensismarginella, and many others. Additionally, new species are described, including Marginella (Praeparvamarginella) nkwaziensis, Marginella (Praeparvamarginella) umlaasiana, and Marginella (Fasciamarginella) pondo, among others.
