UNESCO and the Campaign against Illiteracy in a Reportage by David “Chim” Seymour and Carlo Levi (1950)

A survey of UNESCO's historical photos collection has brought to light an unknown album containing 78 pages of contact sheets and captions of the reportage on illiteracy in Italy made for UNESCO in 1950 by David 'Chim' Seymour. A co-founder of Magnum Photos, Seymour was famous for his reportages on the Paris Commune, the Spanish Civil War and children in the aftermath of World War II.
