When an undercover agent is killed during a failed attempt to capture the elusive drug dealer, Martello, FBI Section Chief Moss decides he needs Special Agent Ben York on the case. The problem is York is serving time in a Virginia State penitentary for killing four people. York agrees to go undercover using a false identity in return for his freedom and the address of the woman he loves, once Martello is captured. Drug dealer Martello recruits a team of four criminals in order to transport and distribute a massive cache of drugs. The four recruits are kept in a secret location prior to the operation starting, their only communication with Martello being through a video link. Agent York, with a new identity as criminal Lucas Fulton, gets to know the three other team members, but is he the only infiltrator or are there others posing as drug runners?
