The International Relief Agency Services Towards The Palestinian Refugees Especially in the Education Sector. The topic of this paper addresses the United Nations’ services toward Palestinian refugees. It seeks to explain the functions of the UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees) in Palestine toward refugees in different sectors with special concern toward education, where it is regarded as a very important sector in society and the first priority for the UNRWA. This paper is based on a functionalist approach rather than analytical studies of a larger sample. It provides a description of the successful achievements of the UNRWA in making basic education free, available to all and compulsory for more than half a million children of Palestinian refugees in Gaza and the West Bank.

Der Fokus liegt auf den Bildungsleistungen des UNRWA für palästinensische Flüchtlinge, die als entscheidend für die Gesellschaft angesehen werden. Die Arbeit beleuchtet die Aufgaben des Hilfswerks in Palästina, insbesondere die Einführung einer kostenlosen und verpflichtenden Grundbildung für über eine halbe Million Kinder im Gazastreifen und Westjordanland. Durch einen funktionalistischen Ansatz wird die Bedeutung dieser Bildungsinitiativen hervorgehoben, die als erste Priorität des UNRWA gelten und maßgeblich zur Verbesserung der Lebensbedingungen der Flüchtlinge beitragen.
