Focusing on the development of scientific competencies, this research highlights a classroom study involving four novice student researchers guided by their teacher. Utilizing qualitative ethnographic methods, the study emphasizes generating scientific knowledge in molecular biology and biotechnology. It showcases how students enhance their scientific literacy, formulate hypotheses, and apply laboratory techniques. The findings reveal a strong grasp of conceptual, attitudinal, and procedural science aspects, offering insights for methodological and pedagogical reflection in pre-university education.
