The investigation reveals how dynamic capability influences technology adoption to enhance firm performance, identifying four key factors: externalities, entrepreneurial leadership, resource readiness, and absorptive capability. Empirical research in the utility industry demonstrates a positive relationship among these factors, with absorptive capability having a direct impact on technology adoption. The study emphasizes that effective technology adoption relies on strong absorptive capability, supported by the other factors. Additionally, a 3D technology adoption organization matrix is proposed, outlining eight levels of technology adoption within firms.
