This study addresses the challenges of managing municipal solid waste in densely populated Delhi, India. It highlights issues like overflowing landfills and non-segregation of waste, which contribute to greenhouse gas emissions. The author quantifies heavy metals and GHG emissions from three landfill sites in the city.
