His challenges back then included the death of a parent as well as a romantic love triangle among his wisecracking mentor Kunk, his dream girl Camille, and a version of the callow, unnamed youthful persona whose name is [REDACTED] from our knowledge to 'protect the innocent,' as he says in a footnote.
