The stories known as Grimm's Fairy Tales have had figurative childproof locks applied to their pages by smart writers using fairy dust and a knowledge that within those stories were indeed vivid tales of imagination. But unlike the child friendly versions you may be familiar with, these stories reflect a darker vision that I think the Brothers Grimm would have preferred. I don't recommend reading these folk stories to children unless you want them to have nightmares. Then by all means......

"Oh, Where'd You Go, Oreo" is a story about my dog, Oreo. It's a simple tale about the relationship between a dog and its human friend that reveals how meaningful and rewarding that bond is to both of them in so many ways. A great read-aloud book for toddlers to second grade, written in a manner that will have your child or grandchild reciting the words along with you as you share the story with them.
