The Green Fields is the debut novel of the author, Jameel Karim, a Muslim African American from the city of Chicago in the United States. The novel was first imagined in 2010 and is just now being released. The book is a piece of fiction set throughout historic events that take place in the land of Palestine and the surrounding areas between 1948 to 1987. The reader follows the lives of Noora, a Palestinian girl from the village of Deir Yassin, and Ami, a Jewish boy whose parents relocate to Palestine post World War II.
