it was in 1994 that a hundred thousand Rwandan refugees crossed the border into the Congo. these people were victims of massive violations of human rights, the right to live in their country of origin in peace and security. to get rid of these citizens considered undesirable, Rwanda has been invoking the cessation of refugee status clause since 2000. However, the cessation of refugee status evoked by Rwanda is another policy, a policy of evasion from the Congo.
