      The teaching of written expression should be a priority in university classrooms, because students do not have mastery of the contents, processes and stages of writing. A complex and systemic plan will be needed to motivate them. The university, as any other educational institution, should organize, execute and evaluate a strategic plan that includes defined purposes, from the creation of an academic unit that ensures the promotion and practice of writing, to the educational proposal of courses in series, linked to the executive work of the teacher who teaches the subject or component of the Writing Workshop or Written Expression. The significance will be demonstrated by institutionalizing the learning and practice of written expression as a transversal axis throughout the academic curriculum. And as an activity proper to the institutional task in view of the technological era and the globalized society.
