    Ramesh S. Balsekar, discípulo de Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj, se basó en la tradición Advaita Vedanta. Sus enseñanzas parten de la premisa de una Fuente última, Brahman, de la cual surge la creación. Una vez que la creación ha emergido, el mundo y la vida operan de manera mecanicista de acuerdo con leyes divinas y naturales. Balsekar enseñó que el libre albedrío es una ilusión, ya que todo lo que ocurre es causado por esta única Fuente: la pura Conciencia, incapaz de elegir o actuar.
