    Raymond Pettibon
    • Raymond Pettibon, a cult artist, initially gained recognition for his flyers, concert posters, and album covers for SST, the independent record label owned by his brother, Greg Ginn. He eventually distanced himself from the Californian hardcore punk scene to develop his "Trag die humaine," a body of work that has persistently challenged America's self-perception by deconstructing popular myths through a striking interplay of image and text. Pettibon, also known for his feature films and animations, serves as a keen observer of American pop culture. His inspirations include the comic styles of Milton Caniff and John Kirby, 1930s and 40s design, and the flower-power dreams of later decades, which he transforms into scenes of violence. His work features iconic superheroes and villains (like Batman, Superman, Jesus, Stalin, and Charles Manson) alongside recurring motifs (trains, penises, surfers, baseball players), creating a visual "remix." His black-and-white drawings, sometimes accented with red bullet wounds, alongside later color-intensive pieces, reveal a grotesque, cannibalistic world that uncovers hidden truths about our own. The collection features over 500 drawings, documentation of a 50-foot mural, an interview with the artist, and two essays.

One of the 20th century’s most prolific and inspiring communicators has become one of the 21st century’s most prophetic and popular writers. Thanks to the careful curation of James L. Snyder, a pastor in Tozer’s church denomination who has exclusive access to a treasure trove of unpublished Tozer content, we have Tozer’s teachings on a vast number of topics. And now, for the first time, there is a new daily devotional featuring never-before-published content. The famed evangelist Leonard Ravenhill, who knew Tozer personally, said, “To enter into Dr. Tozer’s presence was an awe-inspiring event.” Now, with My Daily Pursuit, readers will be able to do even more as they enter into the presence of Jesus every day through this awe-inspiring book

    • In the past decade India's metropolises have been caught in the grip of an enormous push towards globalisation. This abrupt internationalisation of capital, consumption, and media has also effected changes in the contexts of Indian contemporary art. Global television stations, commercials, the Internet, video and computer games, are becoming important points of reference. The relationships between world and nation, between individual and community, between politics, economy, and culture are being redefined. The artists participating in the exhibition Capital & Karma confront these changes with varying strategies, transferring in this way the media surfaces of Indian and Western elements into a globalised context of symbols. Essays by international authors address the conflicting effects of the new flows of capital in art, popular culture, politics, and urban development, as well as in Indian cinema and other forms of mass media.
