The fault tree method

This is a short textbook on one of the best-known methods of reliability/safety modeling. The main thrust is on methods of quantitative analysis of fault trees, yielding not only probabilities of failure or success, respectively, but also mean values of times between the former events. For the treatment of realistic systems approximations are discussed in detail.
