Más información sobre el libro

The research conducted by the collaborative research center SFB401 at RWTH Aachen, detailed in this book, was made possible through the financial support of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). The proposal received approval after evaluation by DFG referees from various universities and industries, for which gratitude is expressed. The project is ongoing and has been approved to continue until the end of 2005. Over 50 scientists from institutions in the United States, Russia, France, Italy, Japan, Great Britain, Sweden, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Austria, as well as organizations like NASA, ONERA, NLR, and DLR, have contributed by visiting the center, delivering seminars, and collaborating on research. The program's significance for scientific education is underscored by the completion of approximately 15 doctoral theses, 40 diploma theses, and 70 study theses. The authors extend their appreciation to all individuals and institutions that provided support, particularly the referees who reviewed this work, including A. Cohen, J. Cooper, W. Devenport, M. Drela, F. Gern, A. Griewank, and H. Hönlinger.
