This is a second edition of what has come to be regarded as the authoritative text of the B-fragments of Anaxagoras. As before, the main purpose of this work has been to present an improved text and critical apparatus for the direct quotations attributed to Anaxagoras, based largely on a reexamination of the manuscripts of Simplicius' commentary on Aristotle's Physics. A detailed commentary accompanies the text. For this edition, there has been some revision throughout and the bibliography has been extensively updated. Furthermore, there are now three additional sections in the Introduction: Diagrams, Style, and Allegory. In addition to the original index locorum there is now a general index and one of Anaxagoras' vocabulary.
