The European Conference on Numerical Mathematics and Advanced Applications (ENUMATH) is a biennial event that serves as a platform for discussing recent developments in numerical mathematics and its applications. Since its inception in Paris in 1995, ENUMATH has been hosted in various cities, including Heidelberg, Jyvaskyla, Ischia, Prague, and Santiago de Compostela. This volume features selected invited plenary lectures, papers from minisymposia, and contributed papers from ENUMATH 2007, which took place in Graz, Austria, from September 10–14, 2007. The conference attracted over 316 participants, primarily from Europe, and included ten invited presentations, a public lecture, over 240 talks across nine minisymposia, and fifty-four sessions of contributed talks. A total of 98 contributions are included in these proceedings, covering theoretical aspects of new numerical techniques and algorithms, as well as their applications in engineering and science. This compilation will benefit a diverse audience by providing an excellent overview of contemporary methods, techniques, algorithms, and results in numerical mathematics and scientific computing. Thanks are extended to all participants for their contributions and discussions, as well as to the minisymposium organizers, chairpersons, and speakers for their significant roles in the conference.
