Más información sobre el libro

These proceedings contain the refereed papers and posters presented at the first Information Retrieval Facility Conference (IRFC) held in Vienna on 31 May 2010. The conference serves as a multi-disciplinary scientific forum designed to connect young researchers with industry early in their careers. Out of 20 high-quality submissions, 11 were accepted for presentation. The choice between oral and poster presentations was based on the most suitable communication format for the single-day event, and does not reflect the quality of the papers, all of which underwent thorough peer review by at least three independent reviewers. The Information Retrieval Facility (IRF) is an open research institution managed by a scientific board of international experts, dedicated to promoting high-quality research. As a non-profit entity, the IRF offers services to the information retrieval community, including a reference laboratory and hardware and software infrastructure. Committed to Open Science principles, the IRF encourages the publication of recent scientific findings and new methods in both traditional formats and as freely available datasets for members. This transparency fosters objective evaluation, comparability of results, and supports the diversity and sustainability of ongoing research development.
