The basis of the present volume consists of the proceedings of a workshop initially dedicated to Hunting in Northern Europe AD 500-1500. Old Traditions, Regional Developments and Foreign Influences. The aim of this interdisciplinary and international workshop was to gather together researches working in the social significance of huntin throughout pre-and protohistoric times in northern and central Europe.
