Light Art in Urban Spaces This book introduces Europe’s largest light art project in an urban space: HELLWEG – ein LICHTWEG. The area covered borders the eastern Ruhr metropolitan region and stretches from Schwerte in the west to Lippstadt in the east. It shows artworks by Gunda Förster, Mischa Kuball, Kazuo Katase, Egill Sæbjörnsson, Jürgen Stollhans, Rosemarie Trockel, James Turrell and others. Artists who have been inspired by the structure of the landscape, by the historical and contemporary sensory connections, by what has shaped these places and made them so unique.
