This book compiles the written presentations from an international symposium titled “Protecting the Environment for Future Generations – Principles and Actors in International Environmental Law.” Organized by the Institute of Environmental and Technology Law of Trier University in collaboration with the Environmental Law Institute of Johannes Kepler University Linz, the event took place in Trier on 29-30 October 2015. It gathered a distinguished group of experts from Europe and beyond to discuss pressing issues in international and European environmental law. The symposium aimed to assess the actors and principles of environmental law and analyze the extent of their implementation at both supranational and domestic legal levels.
