Más información sobre el libro

Work, Body, Leisure examines how changes in labor, its ethos, and conditions impact spatial configurations, living conditions, and perceptions of the human body. The Netherlands serves as a testing ground for reimagining the future of labor. This analysis, published alongside the Dutch Pavilion at the 16th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, investigates spatial arrangements and protocols designed for human-machine interaction, challenging traditional boundaries between work and leisure. It delves into how evolving labor concepts categorize and define bodies, alongside the legal, cultural, and technical infrastructures that facilitate their exploitation. The aim is to inspire new forms of creativity and responsibility in architecture in response to emerging automation technologies. Contributions come from a diverse group of thinkers and practitioners, including Amal Alhaag, AMO, Pier Vittorio Aureli & Maria Shéhérazade Giudici, and many others. This exhibition runs from May 26 to November 25, 2018, at the Dutch Pavilion in Venice.
