In-situ-Studien zu Wachstum und Struktur von Übergangsmetall-Dichalcogeniden

Single-layer transition metal dichalcogenides are in today´s research focus due to their electronic similarity to graphene as well as owing to their catalytic properties, e. g., in hydrodesulfurization processes. One of the most investigated transition metal dichalcogenide is molybdenum disulfide, which as a single layer becomes a direct band gap material and is in the focus of this thesis. A established model-system is molybdenum disulfide on Au. Mainly the formation of molybdenum disulfide nanoclusters on Au has been characterized on an atomic scale and by integral methods, leaving the growth process itself pending investigation.
