Cities evolve, with new urban spaces emerging and existing ones being transformed. These spaces are expected to serve essential functions while also possessing distinct spatial qualities. How can these qualities be defined and assessed? Jürgen Weidinger, a professor of landscape architecture at the Technische Universität Berlin, explores this question through the concept of atmosphere.
