This book focuses on the installation at the Chinati Foundation in Marfa, Texas, by renowned light and space artist Robert Irwin, which opened to the public in July 2016 after seventeen years of preparation. The artwork features a building designed by Irwin, with directed lighting that enhances the space, and a courtyard design that represents a pinnacle in his career. It also realizes Donald Judd's long-held desire to showcase a significant work by Irwin in his artists’ museum.
