The emergence of new digital technologies and evolving customer demands compel established organizations to rethink their business practices. One approach to tackle the challenges of digital transformation is for firms to adopt agile methodologies. Agile methods are gaining traction across various industries, extending beyond software development to areas like human resources. However, implementing and adapting these methods within organizations can be complex. This dissertation investigates the agile transformation process through three qualitative-empirical studies that focus on different aspects of organizational change. Theoretical discussions highlight the significance and contemporary relevance of agile methods in the context of digital transformation. By integrating findings from the studies, the work provides an initial understanding of the agile transformation process. It offers practitioners, particularly those overseeing agile transformations, valuable insights into the procedural flow of such transformations and guidance on managing change while addressing associated challenges.
