This standard work of fire brigade training explains the whole of basic firefighting training for professional fire brigades, plant fire crews and volunteer fire brigades, based on the catalogues of learning objectives for training middle-level fire brigade technical services and on Fire Brigade Service Regulation 2, 'Training of Voluntary Fire Brigades'. The content corresponds to current expert opinion.
