Más información sobre el libro

This volume is the third publication of the project "Youth Unemployment and Social Exclusion: Objective Dimensions, Subjective Experiences and Innovative Institutional Responses in Six European Countries" (YUSEDER), supported by the Directorate General Research of the European Commission within the Targeted Socio Economic Research Programme of the 4th Framework Programme. The YUSEDER project addresses crucial questions about the risk of social exclusion linked to long-term youth unemployment. The first volume presented empirical evidence on youth unemployment and health across the six participating EU countries, while the second focused on social exclusion related to youth unemployment and highlighted vulnerable groups among young unemployed individuals. The third volume offers qualitative analyses of 300 young long-term unemployed individuals (ages 20-25) and their experiences with unemployment and social exclusion in six European countries. It aims to analyze the extent of social exclusion among these young people, exploring the processes and developments leading to social exclusion, key mechanisms that connect unemployment to social exclusion (including protective and vulnerability factors), and individual coping strategies related to unemployment and the associated risks of social exclusion.
