This volume presents the proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Conceptual Structures (ICCS 2003), a key forum for discussing advanced research on conceptual structures. The scope of theories, methodologies, and techniques has expanded significantly in recent years, fostering connections between diverse fields such as Conceptual Graphs and Formal Concept Analysis. This year's theme, “Conceptual Structures for Knowledge Creation and Communication,” highlights the immense potential of information technology in our interconnected world. However, conceptual barriers hinder the effective use of this potential, with the challenge now lying in navigating and managing the vast array of data resources available. The central question is how to transform data into the information and knowledge necessary for our increasingly complex society. All regular papers underwent a rigorous review process involving at least two reviewers and one editor, ensuring the quality and relevance of the presented work.
