Museum Abteiberg, the Sculpture Garden, Hans-Jonas-Park and Mönchengladbach's city center - neighbors located side by-side, nearly oblivious to one another. The project "An Innocent Dream of a Park" works with art in public space, planning initiatives and urban society to seek out a common future for these places. Developing in phases since 2012, it has increased Abteiberg's ties to the surrounding city of Mönchengladbach, creating a large, urban ensemble in the process. Another manifestation included the concurrently-held exhibition On the Currents of the City, which looked at the current state of publicness in the museum context.
