Saint Peter's snow

Amidst a coma following a car accident, Dr. Georg Amberg experiences unsettling memories tied to the rural village of Morwede. He recalls violent confrontations, including an old woman threatening a priest and agitated peasants wielding weapons. The presence of Baron von Malchin, who is determined to uphold his vision for the Holy Roman Empire, adds to the tension. Additionally, a secretive experiment involving a mind-altering drug derived from a white mildew on wheat, known as Saint Peter's Snow, complicates the narrative, intertwining personal and societal conflicts.
