Maura the mole

Maura, the mole, delights in keeping her tunnels tidy and expanding them. Digging is her life! One day she sees an excavator and is immediately fascinated by that machine and its sheer power. Daydreaming of a world of possibilities, she moves closer - since, like all moles, she is hopelessly short-sighted - and is run over.
