Methods to analyze attenuation of fluid oscillations at orifices and sound generation due to wet impacts in hydraulic valves

This thesis combines two topics aiming at noise reduction of hydraulic components. The first subject is in the area of fluid-borne sound transmission while the second one is in the field of structure-borne sound generation. Both topics focus on the numerical methods to analyze the acoustical behavior, while measurement techniques play a significant role.
