Anthroposophical mistletoe therapy has a history of more than 80 years of continued efforts to provide an effective medicament to treat cancer, one of the great problems of the twenty-first century. This information booklet aims to give the reader insights into the medicinal properties of mistletoe and its pharmaceutical processing into ‘Iscador’, the anthroposophical cancer remedy. It provides a brief introduction to anthroposophically extended cancer treatment as well as practical tips, encouraging patients to participate actively in their Iscador treatment and share responsibility for the therapeutic process. About the editor: Dr. Angelika Overstolz-Vollmer was born in Hamburg and has lived in Arlesheim/Switzerland for the past 28 years. She studied medicine in Hamburg, Basel and Tübingen, and trained as a paediatrician in Basel, Chur and Zurich. For many years she worked as medical editor for a scientific publishing company. She built up a medical literature archive at the Medical Section of the Goetheanum in Dornach/Switzerland, and has published various information brochures for doctors on treating cancer with Iscador.
