Women played an important part in the Gospel accounts of the life and teaching of Jesus. In the past 2000 years the Christian discipleship of women has usually been interpreted by men and has reflected the social norms of the time and place in which the commentary was written. This short book, originally presented as a course for adult Christians, looks again at the Gospel texts, together with more recently published material, in order to develop a modern perspective for both men and women.
