In 1980s New Delhi, former nurse Mrs. Ravinder quits her hospital job to set up her own clinic, caring for poor pregnant women. Supported by her vocation, she, her husband, and her children, Naveen, Priti, and seven-year-old Harsh, live a comfortable life, surrounded by finery.
