This work examines the politics of blackness in contemporary British cinema and visual practice, marking over 30 years since the influential ICA Documents 7 publication in 1988. It provides a vital exploration of the textual, institutional, cultural, and political shifts that have occurred since then, focusing on the practices, values, and collaborative networks that have influenced black film culture and representation.
