Ageing in the Crisis

Demographic ageing should not be a crisis for either societies or individuals, though often reported as problematic. But what about ageing during long periods of crisis, when social and economic conditions worsen? The book takes a look at the experiences of Greece, the country most shaken by the severe financial crisis of the last years. The book describes the strong influence of the crisis on ageing, health and social relations and the challenges to which Greek institutions and citizens respond.
