Set in April 2003, this novel delves into the aftermath of the American invasion of Iraq, highlighting the lives of those on both sides of the conflict. It follows Cassandra, a captured American gunner; Abu Al-Hool, a conflicted mujahideen; and Specialist Sleed, whose choices lead to unforeseen consequences.
