The Great Old One has re-awoken and he is invincible. Civilization can't withstand his might. Towns fall apart like toys. The army fails at every step. A handful of survivors on the Oregon coast desperately cling to sanity, including a deposed Cultist leader, an indigenous Oregonian armed with the Elder Sign, and a pair of Norwegian scientists working on a secret weapon.
