The issue is dedicated to the memory of Martin Gilbert, Ze'ev Mankowitz, and Feliks Tych, with articles on them by Bernard Wasserstein, Gideon Shimoni, and Eleonora Bergman and Monika Adamczyk-Garbowska respectively.
